Upon arriving in France, Brice has settled in with his childhood friend Sébastien Josse – the two used to spend the summertime sailing the Mediterranean. Brice looks forward to building endurance and refining tactics for the demanding solo transatlantic challenge ahead.

Brice will be based in La Trinité-sur-Mer, a vibrant seaside town with beaches, ports, and historical sites in the Morbihan department of Brittany, north-western France. Known for its world-renowned marina and major sailing events like the Spi Ouest France, it attracts both sailors and tourists.

Past Sailing Experience


Sébastien Josse, a veteran French offshore sailor born in Nice in 1975 , kicked off his notable career by competing in the 1999 Mini Transat;. He achieved a 5th place finish in the 2004-2005 Vendée Globe on IMOCA 60 VMI , participated in subsequent Vendée Globes in 2008-2009 and 2016-2017 , and has experience in the Volvo Ocean Race .

Josse co-won the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2013 on MOD70 and in 2023 on Ultim Banque Populaire XI with Armel Le Cléac’h , showcasing his prowess in high-performance multihulls and IMOCA classes. Crewing on the Maxi Cat, Orange; in 2002, he made record time of 64d 08h 37m 24s, a world record.
