Arrival in Paris

The Arc de Triomphe, standing majestically at the western end of the Champs-Élysées in Paris, was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 to commemorate the victories and soldiers of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Adorned with intricate sculptures, friezes depicting battles, and inscriptions honoring French generals, it also houses the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I, symbolizing national pride and remembrance.

Its historical significance draws millions of tourists annually, who are captivated by its grandeur, the panoramic views from its summit overlooking the city, and the dramatic traffic circle below, making it an irresistible spot for photography, especially during golden hour or when illuminated at night.
